Check it out guys. A local group is coming up with some sweet new toys for racers. They're just finishing up on some crowdsource fundraising.

It's pretty slick.

They're working on some android software for outputting to a dashboard. Shit, I can buy this and a tablet for substantially less than a stackmeter.

Hop on dx.com and pick up an Android tablet on the cheap, mount it to the dash and go. I've been looking into building something similar myself, but more based around what you would typically read on gauges instead of datalogging.

Well they are open source so you could output whatever you wanted. And they can help with installing distance sensors (suspension data log anyone?) and whatever else you'd want.

I was thinking of that, but $500 and having to use the internet to get data to the screen would be overkill for me, what I'm looking into would be more like $200 with a direct connection.
