View Full Version : Fair warning: price hike on JDM parts for 2013

A small anouncement:

We have been made aware that with the new year, our costs are going to go up on most or all of the JDM parts we carry. This includes Gen3 and Gen4 parts, 20V stuff, etc. In other words, we are talking about all of the parts that dealers cannot source directly from Toyota.

We are making every effort to keep costs reasonable, but an increase in our cost means that we can expect to raise our prices on those parts as well. Any increase will occur on invoices that we receive after the start of the new year, give or take a little. As new shipments come in, we will have to adjust prices as and where necessary.

Prices on existing inventory will not be immediately affected. If you place an order now on a JDM part that we have in stock, your price on that order will be as listed. If we have to special order it for you, and we see a cost increase when the order arrives, we will have to charge a higher price. In other words, it would be prudent to get your orders placed sooner rather than later to take advantage of current pricing.

Well I can tell you that the parts we buy from TMC for production have gone around 30% over the last two year. We were recently informed that we would see another 9% increase starting in November and probably another one in January. I figure this is finally filter through to the dealers.

They didn't give us any reason but it probably is Godzilla.
