After looking at the EPC diagrams of engine mounts, transmission, rear differential and subframe, I think it could be done. The axles and motor mounts could be a challenge but the rest should be relatively simple (as long as you can squeeze the V6 in there)

Go forth and build a sweet AWD rally monster!

You should just buy a 2gr rav4 and be done with it.

There was a V6 Celica Alltrac in the UK that sold to a French buyer a couple years back. The owner had to grind and cut a bit off the transmission casing to get the motor to mate with the transmission off a Rav4 I believe. If it fits in the Matrix engine bay, and you want to do the rear work, I don't see why it wouldn't be doable.

You do know they made awd matrix xr's right? Not sure if they we're all auto or a mix between auto and manual though.
