View Full Version : Took the Paseo out for last autocross of the year

Ash and I took out the Paseo for the first time today. Last autocross SCCA of the year. Had been running with a Tercel, let me tell you, same drive train, same price range, world of difference.

It was great to dive into a corner without a foot of body roll.

Now we are going to put on tires, wheels and other assorted accruments to take it into the STF.

But anyway, here is the video of me.

And here is Ash tearing it up.

Oh yeah, next time we are going to have power steering, that will help.

Never thought I'd here "Paseo" and "autocross" in the same sentence. Props!

Yeah, I was ahead of a Civic Si for the first three (very very wet) runs.

Once it put power down it beat me, but it was still a lot of fun. Really a pretty solid little car that Paseo.

h stock woohoo!
glad you enjoyed it. i tend to think the reason you ran so good was becausee of the rain. but great runs none the less. i would think that suspension should be next. coilovers would make a world of difference and reduce your 10 degrees of roll angle! i'd honestly do that before tires. if your class allows it.

Well he only beat me by 1.243 Seconds, and I had all weather tires (directional and all mounted in the same direction I came to find out) and I also had no power steering. But it's really hard for me to comment on the amount of body roll because it was so much less then the Tercel that I could hardly notice it. So you could be right on base there. In STC (or maybe STF, but I think STC) suspension is fairly open.

I might do intake header and exhaust this winter just because it would be relativly inexpensive. But Coilovers are Very high on the list.

Yeah man, STF should have the same basic rule set as STC. Just different cars. Glad to see more people out racing!
