Anyone here try to fill the oil filter on their gen2 3sgte before screwing it on? I know installing a dry oil filter is bad but.......damn

I've never filled an oil filter before installing. I just lube the oil seal.

Yeah no need to fill it. A bit of oil on the seal and your good.it fills quick enough anyway.

Cool, thanks guys. Now to go buy the oil drain plug gasket after I take my kids to school and see how much they want for a OEM rear diff mount instead of messing with the poly urethane I bought for $50 :(

I dont put any oil in my filter. It just ends up all over the place on a 3S anyway.

Except mine. I don't have 'bleed back' issues or spilling oil if I oil the filter :P

if u pour some oil in just enough to saturate the filter it doesnt get all over the place swirl it around.. the filter is quite absorbent like i said just my preference..

i also use the toyota filters and usually pour some in then quickly try to screw it on but still make a mess. time for a relocation kit since im not going to sell the all-trac :) now to search for one

let the oil sit in.. turn it on its side letting the oil absorb..
