At my new job, we have a wheel guy that fixes and re-conditions wheels for customers if they are damaged bent...ect.

He also gives us as employees a good discount for our own wheels.
I want to ask the communities opinion on finish for my Jdm wheels(cant get em anymore, want to save em)

Stick with same as they are now?
Replace the silver lip with red?
Change the black to red?

Throw out some ideas maybe some photoshops if you know how, I do not.
I will wait till fall/winter to have them done when im on my winter wheels.

How they sit now

Did the wheel come in other colors? For a red car I'd rather have either a silver or gray wheel. Color matching wheels are for VW Bugs.

We actually own a reconditioning company here at work, called transwheel.

I don't know about your guy, but I know that reconditioned wheels coming out of here look brand new and I have a very low return rate on them. If your guy is even nearly as good, I would say go for it.

I dismounted a set tires off Mercedes AMG wheels Tuesday that were going out for refurbishing, the wheels were completely trashed. Way worse than mine are.... I thought "theres no way these can be salvaged" bent scratched you name it, even a piece missing from the lip lol. Well tgey came back today and they looked factory new! Ive seen brand new cars off the new car delivery truck at the dealer, and the wheels still looked worse than these. I think the finish was just base coat/clear coat paint but still. im definitely going to have mine done this winter.

Im going to inquire about powder coating for mine though. As I feel PC is better than paint for wheels. Even if its a little extra cost.

If you want some color on them, I would say color match the lip of the rim to your car.

What size wheels and tires are those? They look tiny.

Dont necessarily want color, persay. Just something other than the black/chrome(looks good, but every car I see has black and chrome/silver wheels)
