how do you hide them in a car?

temperacerguy

I straightened them and hid them under the carpet.

Actually the car has been in storage for the past 12 years, when I purchased the car, I pulled the engine, and started buying new OEM/aftermarket items and tossed them in the car... then moved away...

Also in the car (all new in box/factory bags):

Cusco SW20 rear pillow mounts
all ST185 AC lines high and low
HKS EVC IV
ST185 factory floor mats
3S-GTE full rebuild box (all seals and bearings)
Razo carbon fiber pedal set
2 Apex-i N1 mufflers

Whole bunch of used parts, cleaned and boxed.

If your wanting to get rid of any of it I'll take one of the mufflers :)

Thanks,

I've put the EVC IV and the pillow mounts on E-bay already...

I am watching all the "watchers" add up... everyone's going to try and snipe Them.

Sorry, but I am using both of the mufflers

I seen that on your other thread that's fine I posted on there too I actually like the way they look it would go well with my car. So if you know a place to snag one could you point me in the right dirrection.

Not a chance. They are worth more than gold

Buahahahaha :P
I may try to get a set made up some day.

How do those TRD springs physically compare to the stock springs?
Can you get a side by side pic?

I will do so when I pull apart the rear suspension. I'll do that in a few weeks when my differential comes in and I rebuild the rear subframe/suspension.

But I don't like project threads.... It becomes a big huge jumbled mess of "internet experts" questioning why you did this, and how you did that wrong, and blah blah blah blah blah....

Or, just a whole circle jerk of the mutual admiration society...

HOWEVER... I am willing to do a whole series of "How to" articles during my project...

For example... I can see just off the top of my head:

rebuilding a distributor
rebuilding the differential
replacing diff and subframe mounts
rebuilding a half shaft (when you see one, they are ALL THE SAME)
replacing wheel bearings
rebuilding a steering rack
rebuilding a power steering pump
rebuilding a brake/clutch master cylinder
stitch welding the chassis
strut inserts

If you guys are interested in that, I can write those as I do them. Make a whole tech section.

I wished the previous owner of my st165 had done a project thread. It makes things a whole lot easier in terms of knowing the history of the vehicle, and having it all in one place. But I can understand your issue with internet experts and circle jerks.

\

um, based off of what I said... why would I need aftermarket U joints?

Anyways... Lookey what just came in the mail from the UK :-)

Damn, how much was shipping for that, and what system did he use? My guy shipped it Fed Ex and the damn thing cost 80 UK pounds to ship. (only paid 70UKP for the unit)

I got my mom looking through the stuff at her house for ya... but I doubt she will find one... I typically tossed the stockers like boat anchors.

Ya I paid 70 for the unit and another 120 for shipping so 190 pounds total. I think it was a killer deal considering anywhere else I looked wanted almost double that. I bet we actually got our units from the same guy. Did you get yours on ebay?

temperacerguy

no, I got mine from a guy with piss poor communication who goes by something like ST205parts Probably the same guy though.

As for the TRD springs. Gotta say that they were the best set that I have ever had on any of my alltrac(s). Good ride and non rubbing with 235/40/17 tires. You will like them and have no problem selling them if you ever change to something else. Just thoroughly test out whatever you change to, because you may wish you had the TRD springs back. I have Tein coilovers now and truth be told, the ride was more compliant with the TRD setup. Had them paired with GAB struts and new stock struts for the record.
