SST 0931017010 (0931007010, 0931007020,

I'm done, I gave up with the socket/hammer method. It's to the point where I have to hit it hard enough that it pops the springs out of place

You don't need an SST to get 5th gear off. I used the following pullers and got 5th gear off no problem.

You need a harmonic balancer puller:

And a steering wheel puller:

I ghetto rigged it and was able to convert my puller into a press.

I have a 3 jaw puller and a harmonic puller as well. I couldn't get my synchro/clutch hub back on the shaft. It would go so far and then stop. Rand down to the hardware store, bought 4 nuts and a bolt and converted it into a press.

Also would of helped if the retaining clip was in the right place (which was causing me the grief all along).
