View Full Version : Anyone Running an EMS Powered Turbo Kit?

Specifically on a Celica with a TMIC [I have an RC IC].
I'm looking at getting one but I'm curious if the extended tip fits with a TMIC.
Any problems with it?

I haven't seen anyone running an EMS kit with a top mount intercooler. If you haven't been on MR2OC lateley, then you probably don't know about all the posts regarding EMS Powered. People waiting extremely long times (some people not getting stuff at all).

I had them make a top mount manifold, downpipe, dump tube for my precision 6262 a while back and had no problems.. but that was before they started getting behind on stuff.

I am... it fits :)

But I am running the bolt on Borg warner kit they offer.

Baktash would have to make you a custom manifold if you wanted the RC intercooler to fit.

Now, if you have been to the MR2OC, then look for a guy named Eric6, he has done alot of porting to the stock manifold, its speculated that doing this can actually provide as much or better flow than a tubular manifold.

If you dont want to wait forever for an EMS bottom mount kit, you might hit up Jeff (Racer-X) for one of his custom manifold setups. I believe he made tj's manifold...

Thanks VIP, I didn't know that. I don't mind waiting some, but I don't want to wait forever.
Damn, I was really liking the bolt on exhaust housing too....

I'm just looking for a bolt on kit, I'm not trying to go crazy, nor spend loads of money [this is already going to be over 2gs], I've got 2 kids to worry about too. :)

This is the kit that EMS Powered made for me. Quality looks real good, but haven't bolted it up in a car yet.
