I'm sure if you offer enough dollars they would build you one. I know a buddy of mine had his Honda transmission built by guys that did Subarus...

pat on alltrac.net has used a dog box and a 205 RC/CS tranny the 205 tranny held up way better and he isusing it in is car now with over 800 horse the final drive is longer and with the gears he is able to hit over 210 mph in a mile you can pick up the interanals at lithia.

So your recommending the 205 tranny? Will it bolt to the 2nd gen 3sgte

And I'm not experienced in working with transmissions so that's why I was needing a company... will lithia build it?

the great part about the E151F, E152F, later model E153 and the E154F are that they use double cone synchros... which means you wont crap out of 3rd gear and 2nd gear as easily. ALL E type transmissions will bolt up to the 3s and 5s blocks.

I know that pat spent an ass load on that tranny (like $10K+) And unless you are busting 900awhp, then I dont suggest upgrading your transmission to a dogbox...

I was wanted about 650 to the wheels. So I dunno

^ That takes alot of $$$ to do it correctly

About what are you thinking. Cause I was already thinking at least 7k in the motor. So the trans would be worth the investment

with those numbers i sure hope you have a shop to make basically anything bolt on. if i remember right 7 grand might even be around 2 grand low i also suggest getting a 205 rear end off ebay or something it works a ton better and its a torsen diff other than that i believe our stock drivetrain with the 205 tranny will hold up to the 800 pluss mark

So 2nd gen 3sgte. 205 trans and 205 rear end? Driveshaft axles everything like that?

For what you want you'll probably be fine with any 92^ ST185 trans.
I'm not sure if the ST205 trans has the same gearing as the regular ST185s or not, if it does you may also want to consider a ST185 homologation trans, it has a lower final drive and helps the engine to "pull" better.
As far as a rear diff, an ST185 TORSEN [only some came TORSEN, most notably the homologation cars] or an ST205 [all are TORSEN] are the same.

I wouldn't stress the transmission/driveline very much, it's pretty beefy. Not much breaks from too much power.
Not impossible, but it's unlikely you'll be making enough to really worry about it.

You might need some NOS to get there too.

The only reason I would ever really use nos is for a halo for a fmic. I'm not big on spray.

Even the axles hold up? I know a lot of my friends (not celicas) that break axles with that kind of power

Celicas are kind of... Built. Gotta remember, Toyota engineering and all that jazz.

Not to mention the advantage of the AWD taking some of the strain off the front end.

Beware though, enough grip/aggressiveness will just strip the ring and pinion on the front diff. Sticky tires and a two-step launch can do it, even at lower power levels than what you're talking about.

So it can pretty much handle it... good to hear. What is a good company to get the trans from?

Ats is getting over 800 rwhp on e85 in MR2s. You lose some flexibility of manifolds in the Celica, but you can do FMIC, so that should help some. I don't think that 700 would be out of the real of a tsreet driven car on e85. The dollar amount is a bit low. I think that it is closer to $10k of work in the engine area to hit those numbers (5s block with stroker kit and heavy duty forged pistons on upgraded rods, head work, cams, custom intake and exhaust manifolds, big fuel pump, mega injectors, custom fuel rail, stand alone etc).
