So, the auto "log out" feature of chat is annoying. If I don't post for a few minutes the system kind of kicks me out of chat so I can't see any new messages until I pull up a new page. Can this be fixed so it doesn't kick people like that?

Click the log in text and you'll get logged back in. I'll see about bumping the auto log-out time. Also if you make chat full screen it shouldn't auto log you out.

It isn't about the (log in) I think it is what you missed when you got kicked out and didn't log in when searching the forum. So is there a way for you to get rid of the time limit to be logged out?

This is my problem with the system.

Also, I liked the other chat system we had that would play a notification when some one sent a message. I typically have chat open, but I always miss when people want to talk to me.

If it had an option to freeze the chat frame at the top of the screen, that would allow browsing and scrolling down threads without missing anything in chat. Don't know if that's an option though.

Personally, I hate that idea. I keep one tab open that has chat, then I browse my other tabs. In the old system, every time I heard a sound, I'd check it.

You guys need to make up your mind about what the fuck you want.

Some people think the chatbox is sufficient. Some people want an IRC based deal. I dont want both.

We can either A) Keep the chatbox and I can extend the auto logout time for those who use chat without clicking the "View Chatbox Full" thing

or B) Get rid of chatbox and go to a full chat thing. I personally don't like option B cause back when we had flash chat, I'd log in several times throughout the day and see no one in there. When there were people in there it was cool, but 9 times out of 10 when I logged in, no one was there.

Chat is fine, refresh yer page and it logs you back in, NBD.

You can also click the "(log in)" bit and it logs you back in, and refreshes all the messages that happened since you last logged in.

For me extending the time to be logged out is fine. Don't worry the only difference between me and a puppy is...

No, you cant disable autologoff. However you can change the timeout value. So I moved it from 15 minutes to 60 minutes. If you bitch about being logged out now, Im gonna e-slap you :p
