Hey folks, I'm Jason in Central Missouri. We just bought a 1990 Celica GT and I've been working on catching it up on it's Maintenance and getting it back to right, after which I'll start considering what sort of mods to do(besides putting a 7th gen shifter in it, I feel like I should be driving a truck LOL). Also have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, all options available, currently stock and undriveable as I'm waiting to finish with the Celica before rebuilding steering/suspension systems. Currently also own a 1993 Acura Integra LS, but that will be gone soon as my brother wants it. As soon as he finishes fixing it and takes the Integra we'll have a 1994 Escort Wagon he's giving in partial trade, only plans for it are stock fixes and a healthy profit LOL

Welcome aboard. Last time I was in MO I stayed in a roach coach hotel in Rolla while visiting a buddy out at fort lostinthewoods.

That's quite a ways from me actually, but I did used to live near Rolla a few years ago LOL
Just put a bunch more parts on the Celica...but don't know if it'd done until tomorrow as I goofed. I've been systematically replacing oil seals and just finished putting on all the parts I ordered tonight and went for a drive to see if it was still leaking....fool me left the oil cap off.:hippy:

Welcome!!! :)
And what is everyone saying this "truck" feeling? I haven't noticed although the only manual truck I've driven was a 5 speed S10 and my lord the shift was high! I dont quite see the resemblance with my shifters ;) but for real maybe I should invest in a different shift for my swap and my dd since they're both 91's and I have seen this "issue" a lot now XD

Welcome!

90/91 Celica's do have a long throw for a sport car.

Just a really long throw for the shifter of a sports car. Yes, trucks have a much longer throw, but it's just a bit of an exaggerated comparison.
