Just as the title states....

I have the "bubble"

For some reason I can't add a poll, can some one help me out?

I have the standard one but I want the taller one. Almost got one from the pap that had a rip in it.

Taller one is just an upholstered rest screwed into the regular. You could easily fabricate a new one, or recover an old one in new vinyl. I'd recommend taking an old one from PAP and using new foam and vinyl anyways. They always seem to be full of water and mold.

mine is in great condition aside from the rip in the top.

I had the taller one. I liked it. Not sure whatever happened to it.

I have the taller one on my 93 convertible. Got it reupholstered, so it is mint. I like it because it's height (relative to the seats) is the same as the one on the door, so your arms can rest at the same height. Nice & soft too.

Regular but it is starting to crack. How do you remove it to get new vinyl on?

Lift the console cover (armrest) up and look underneath the cover. You will find 2 screws. Remove the screws and the top part comes right off. Now you can replace the vinyl or take it to an upholstery shop.

I have the normal one, not sure if I really like the bubble, I think it looks kinda funny. For those of you who have it installed, do you like the look or is it just more comfortable?

I have it because, when you rest your elbows on the door arm rest and the bubble arm rest, both elbows are at the same height. They aren't on the regular arm rest. So for me, it's just more comfortable.

I think it's more comfortable for the guys with Auto Trannys. I kinda like the short one on my car, I'm more at level with the shifter.

You likely have a good point there. My bubble armrest is on an automatic 5th Gen.
