just wondering if anyone with gts wheels off a 7th gen has any input on reccomended tires for those wheels?
i am looking in to getting 215/45/16 but im open to suggestions with about anything?
(i.e. like ride height, driveability, steering etc.)

in future i should have kyb struts and sportline springs.

also going with that, i wanted to know what color of rim would look good on my car?
i see some celica with the bronze which i really like since my celi is red as well
but again im up to suggestions!

That's a good size. You could go with a wider tire like a 225/45.

my 7th gen wheels run yokohama 205s and they are the 15 inch ones but are the same width, they guy at the tire shop told me that 215s were to big for my wheel, i painted mine that gunmetal grey from the 1st gen scion tc's and i have a red 5th gen but bronze looks good as hell on the car as well:)

I suggest reading through the tire and wheel tech sections at 1010tires.com, and availing yourself of their tire-size calculator. It's a good education seeing what changing one dimension or another does to the tire.

215 be too wide for a 7th gen gt wheel? I'm pretty sure you'll be just fine, its just going wider means the sidewall aspect ratio will normally change as well

215s are ok, you can even squeeze 225s on there but you probably wouldn't see any gains from it.

i ran 225/45/16s on my 16x7 for my 6th gen and they were fine, the nexans are slightly oversized though

They'll fit but you won't get any gains from it. For a 225/45 you'd want a 7.5 to really get good use out of the tire.
