The headrests in my 99 Celica convertible are going bad and I was looking at getting two off from ebay. They are from a 94 GT Liftback and I was wondering if there is any difference from the convertible and years?

I always thought that convertiable cars had a different headrest due to safty or something like that.

My folks own a 97 vert. Seats are identical to the GT.

Actually yes, there is a difference. The '94-95 model has different seats than the '96-99. The '94 seats have bigger shoulder bolsters and a different bottom than the newer seats. The head rests are the same if that's the only part you intend to reupsholster, otherwise you'll need to find seat covers for a '96+ Celica. Other than the years, the seats are the same between the hatch, coupe, and convertible.
