how stright forward was it? and how did you go about the intercooler not fitting under the bonnet problem?

Well as to the intercooler, the easiest solution is to use a front mounted A/A. Even if it fit, you probably wouldn't want to use the A/A top mount.

I suppose if you wanted you could always use your st165 W/A too, but it would be inferior to the front mount.

i have looked at the front mount option and reallt they are a bitch to do if i want to keep the foglights.... and tbh cash will start to run out if i go front mount aswell seeing as im not doing this myself.

You can't use the 165 IC on the 215/246 engine, it's got a sidefeed manifold.

All the above is teh troof.

There are people whom have done a FMIC while keeping the fog lights. Treadstone actually makes a nice intercooler that I think ChrisD was able to put on his St165 and keep the foglights in. I have a st162 with the st215 motor and had no issues with a FMIC (no foglights).

The st215 top mount IC is fucking huge. You can make it fit, but you'll need to take some out of the hood and space it as well to make it fit (scoop and lift the rear of it up).

Ah yes, that would make for some difficulty. I suppose you could go with some kind of a custom WTA top mount, maybe something the MR2 guys use.

Or just hybrid a st215 A2A and a ST205 W2A.....
