Hey guys,

I have a '93 Camry LE v6,
Was driving around today and all of a sudden the brake pedal went to the floor, and hasn't come up since. The brakes barely work, only if i step on the pedal REALLY hard since this happened. I had to limp the car home and haven't drove it since. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks all.

is there brake fluid still in the reservoir?

If so, then it's your master cylinder.
If not, then you have a leak somewhere.

Is there any way to pressurize the cylinder to see where fluid is leaking? So i went and checked today, and the master cylinder was low on brake fluid. Topped it up, pumped the brakes to see if i would get any pressure, and heard a hissing noise. Went and looked back and all the fluid was gone, and the fittings that go into the MC were dry..

Check each wheel. Probably a busted rubber line to one of the calipers/cylinders. Did you see the leak anywhere under the car?

I didn't see any visible leaks, but did see that the front drivers side fender guard had some type of recent fluid that was sprayed on it.

Start there. Check your connections, and the bleeder valve. If all of that is tight, start replacing the lines.

Well, found the leak. It's coming from the hard lines that run under the drivers side. Does anybody know what size the camry hardline uses?

are you going to bend the line yourself? If so, you can use any size as long as you have the correct end fittings. Typically it's 1/4". However with how typical the camry is, you can get the pre-bent line from Toyota still.

Or at a junk yard. Hard lines don't tend to break.

All fixed! Quick question, anybody have the v6 camry? How's gas consumption, I'm trying to figure out if the engine is consuming a normal amount of fuel

My sister used to get like 18 town/23 freeway with hers. The v6 chugs gas if you don't drive it right.

My es300 gets about 22-25 in mixed driving. Steady hwy is almost 30. Camry should do marginally Better due to it's lighter weight.

One last thing,

This developed as of late : the car has a crazy vibration as of late, through the steering wheel, and the whole car feels sluggish. Sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not. Huge vacuum leak?
