Hey folks,

NEW GUY! I've presently got a 1991 MR-2 Turbo with 120K (It's BRIGHT YELLOW!!! )... I've had her for about a year now. I'm not new to them though. I owned a '93 back in '93 (yes, new). My plans at the moment for this one are to restore it to factory shape (not too hard just needs some body work now, the interior's finished and immaculate).

Previous cars include: 1980 Camaro (First car a LONG time ago), 1993 MR-2, 1995 Ford Escort, 1988 Toyota Supra N/A-T with MAFT Pro, 1994 LandCruiser... and a couple beaters in between. The 2 replaced the Supra as I needed something which was a better daily driver.

In the future I'd love to get another '93+ MR-2 (preferably one that's already been tastefully built) and a Celica All-Trac Turbo.

That color is awesome.

And I am sorry it took me so long to get you approved. That was all my fault. I was asleep at the wheel there.

I'm just the opposite...we have two alltracs, but I would love to have an MR2 as well. Although both alltracs need so much love, another car is not exactly the best idea right now.

Welcome!

Welcome! Beautiful MR2.

I've got an All Trac but I often think about getting a MR2.

Welcome!

MR2's can somewhat pull off the hi ho yellow.

3000GT's aren't so lucky.

Heh, tell me about it... There's a 3000GT that's a bit between the 2's "signal yellow" and a "canary yellow" just a few blocks from here... Good Gawd... :O

I wasn't too hip on the yellow from the pictures I first saw, but still drove a couple hundred miles to see it. Once I was there I decided it wasn't half bad; Pictures really don't do it justice. It came in handy though as it made it possible for us to drive a rubber ducky to a local rubber duckie charity race a few weeks ago. ;) I'll try to find some pics.

On the downside, I hydroplaned at the beginning of the year and snapped sideways when the front tires got traction but the rears didn't (I wasn't straight yet and shouldn't have been on the brake)... So I slid sideways into a small metal post with a reflector on it. :( Body work is the one thing I have no experience with and I'm pretty bummed about that; I'm afraid to find out what it's going to cost to fix.
