View Full Version : Alltrac 3SGTE Motor mounts

So - I am really wondering about what is the cross-compatibility between 5th gen cars as far as motor mounts are concerned.

To wit:

My problem is that I have an 1991 Alltrac that has many murmurs, rattles, and even roars - and I want to isolate each noise to determine the cause.

As such - the first place I am going here is my motor mounts - the front which is def worn out - and the rear I have not seen yet. The left and right I'm not real worried about at this point.

Now - I know I can get the urethane inserts from Speed Source - and at the end of the day - that would be what I would do - for performance.

Yet for now - what I want are the factory type rubber mounts as my primary goal is the isolation and elimination of various vibration sources so as to track down potential problems in my car.

So - the front mount is - Toyota P/N 12361‑74150.

This fits 5SFE, 3SGE, and 3SGTE from 86-93 - Camry or Celica - yes?

The rear mount is - Toyota P/N 12371‑74210.

This is for 5SFE or 3SGTE 89-93 Camry or Celica - yes?

To be "cheap" - because I just want these rubber mounts for temporary purposes - are these NAPA equivilents the correct parts?

Will these pats work (fit) for the short term? Especially the rear?

I dont see the Napa ones being a problem but the question is how much do they cost....

I would advise though that if youre are gonna track down rattles and such remember that when you go Speed Source inserts everything will rattle like craxy and then you will have to start checking nuts and bolts more frequently though.

If i remember correctly when i did the e153 swap i had to get an alltrac cross-member. When i bolted up my motor mounts the front i could only get one bolt in. The rear should be the same but the front is different.

Thanks for the replies - I ended up going with the Stealership on this one - just so I know I get parts that will fit.

The front mount from NAPA is no prob - but the rear mount was an "unknown part number" and they had some sub for $49.99 - special order only and no refund.

So I bought the stock parts from the dealer at $62 each (ouch!) - but if they do not fit I will have some recourse.
