I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if you can get to 500whp with the gen 2 MAF sensor out of the RC?

Well, you're gonna have to use a stand alone ecu anyway. So you won't need the AFM. Problem solved.

Yeah, at 500whp it doesn't really matter which long block you start from...

Standalone is a type of computer. PowerFC is considered a standalone. Other examples include the AEM, Hydra Nemesis, Autronic, etc.

To get to 500hp youre going to need serious fuel, and a way to control it. Thus the need for a "standalone"

When you are choosing a standalone ECU one thing to look into other then the options you need is what the tuners around your area deal with. This also helps with the price of tuning and reliability of the tune because they are familiar with the system.

Some of those prices seem wrong for those reason.

You can probably save some money on the cam gears by going with the ATS ones, same with the valve springs. The HKS belt really isnt needed its more of a preference and 272 on a 500whp,I wouldnt I would look into the GSC S1 with are the 268 cams.335 for a GT 3582R sounds like a knockoff turbo.

Since like youre on the right track for the most part but I would do a little more homework on the shopping part.

I'd also add a water/alc sprayer just after the throttle body. You missed the price for the cylinder honing. Get your rods recondition (resized, releaved, shotpeened.) and fit them with ARP hardware instead of the eagle rods.

eagles are lighter. helps with response. you can even go with 256 high lift cams for 500 whp, keeps the idle a little more normal and keeps it a little more drivable. dont hone the block unless there is damage and be ware of ebay. stock bore is more resistant so i'd stay 86mm

dont hone the block unless there is damage

Why would you not hone a cylinder before installing new pistons and rings?

I think Marco meant dont bore the block. Of course you want to give it a rehone to help break in those new rings.
