View Full Version : o2 sensor question

So, when you make a spot for a wideband o2, can it be facing an upward angle? Or does the part that reads the exhaust need to face downwards?

I ask cause my corolla was giving me wierd signals from my o2 after some idling time and I am trying to see if the sensor went bad or if I have the bung welded on at a bad angle.

The sensor should be perpendicular to the exhaust flow, otherwise it doesn't matter.

K. That makes me feel better. It probably started acting funny since the car had been sitting for a long ass time and had some 30 year old build up to boot.

lol. I was torn since it was on my Corolla and the motors in the celica's tend to have a spot for the o2 in a good position.
