Silver mani, black TB. Also ignore the TB being upside down ;)

I think it will look nice if I do the valve covers in the black as well. Im kinda worried cause my block and all the belt driven accessories are ford light grey. Then I have the header and mani silver. Donno what Ill do to the head but its gonna have to be something to blend thie stuff together.

I donno... Its probably gonna look dumb and Ill have to take it all apart and repaint it. Im tihnking now that the manifold should be black as well.

Silver & black usually go well together.. Hard to tell without the other components though.

I believe the second picture is the correct mounting position.

2nd pic is correct.

The way I feel about color combos is that there needs to be some reason for the abrupt change. A T/B to mee should look like part of the intake and thus the same color as it. since there is a rubber/silicone connector at that point then its ok for the intake piping and MAF to be a different color as the coupler is a natural color change point. Since the TB and in take of the same material (aluminum) then its my opinion they should be the same color.

But thats that just me

If you want the TB black break it up with some silver. Even break up the solid silver on the manifold with some black. Like on the manifold paint the webbing between the runners black and the raisied positions. But that is just me when I paint something.

i did my block, intake tube, DP and exhaust side of turbo black and valve cover, heat shield, intake manifold and front(turbine) of the turbo silver.

I think Ima do black on the intake as well. I had the TB silver and just didnt like it, made the whole thing look too flasy.
I think Ill do all black TB and mani. Black Valve covers with silver lettering. My header can stay silver, but maybe Ill do the heat shields black.
Probably spray some alluminum over the head just to keep it from getting that old splotchy look after a few months.
I slept on it and have a better idea now, gotta go buy some more paint. I gotta say the Dulpicolor engine paints are nice.

ya they are, just be careful what you use them on and what temp they go to. A while ago I tried to use the 500 degree engine paint on exhaust and that is not hot enough.
