Anyone know anything about the bc's? I have read that they are beefier than the megans but I've never compared both side by side. Theirs a few members here with the megans, I know murg has em. Price wise they are both about the same.

Discuss.....go!

Pics of the stance, the coilovers themselves, how the brake lines mount ect. What type do you have ?BR? Spring rates? Why you went with the bc

these are the BR type, reason why i went with BC racings are that i wanted to try something different with coilover brands...and glad i did because they are very nice.

search on some reviews...they are sometimes compared to TEINs.

I have been researching reviews and they seem to be thought of better than the megans, I'm leaning the coilover route because I thing in the long run it will be cheaper then just springs and struts. Initial cost will be more expensive.

Does the br type have locking collars? Hard to adjust height? Is there camber or caster adjustments? Pillow mounts? Where did you get them from?
Spring rates you chose?

Murg where ya at with so info on the megans?

To be honest those look just like the Megans except for the color. I don't know about exact dimensions, but they are the same design.

I have had mine for over a year now, and no issues at all. She still handles like she is on rails, and many folks are surprised at the ride quality.

When researching these I saw a few different people say that the same company makes both BC and Megans, but no actual proof of it.

With all the great reviews on them I'll be getting a set when the time comes to upgrade the suspension.

for the ST202 Celica the megan and bc look exactly the same. From what I've heard they are both made by the same company. Spring rates for the ST202 celica is 10k front and 8kg rear on megans. BC are at 6k front and 4k rear. Megans are real stiff for street applications....

9303, if you want to see some Megans I sold to Andrew.wa look him up. Almost everyone on here that has them bought them through me and I think most of them have install threads loaded with pics. Look around and you'll find them.

You could always spend another 200ish dollars and get yourself some swift springs for them. They are much better than pretty much any other spring out there. You can get them for the right diameter of the coilovers, and run the spring rates you want. Theyre a bit expensive, at 200-300 a set of 4 but theyre worth every damn penny.

Heres info on why theyre better. This thread is made of win. Great info.

Yeah I've always recommended Hypercoils but glad to see there is another option now.

I have swifts on My EVO, and they are by far the best spring I have used out there and I've used a ton. I never considered them for coil overs however... Time to do so.

as far as swapping out different springs on the megan coilovers. I'd advice you to call megan tech line and ask them whats the stiffest spring you can put on your ST202 Celica Megan Coilover. I remember asking tein and they said with stock dampening on the super street coilovers, max would be going up 2kg on both front and rear.

You can buy just about any spring you want. I want to say that 2kg is near the bottom of the spectrum for Megan IIRC.

I think what he's saying is you can go UP 2k from what they normally come with and remain on the stock valving. Although, I think they can valve to custom spring rates too.
