im going to look for some wheels for my all-trac and want the flush wheel look. i was thinking of some 17x8 wheels with a 35 offset for the front and rear with some 225/45/17 tires. would i need wheel spacers for the rear? right now i have 205/50/16 tires with 16'' wheels and when i launch (rarely) i get alot of unwanted wheelspin. i know wheelspin takes some of the load off the drivetrain but my tires squeal loud and attract even more unwanted attention and thats why i want a wider wheel/tire. going too wide affects mpg in a bad way and since its my daily driver and have to make a 200 mile (fwy) round trip 1 or 2 times a month i dont want to destroy my 27mpg hwy i can get when i cruise the whole way. i know mpg and preformance dont go together well but thats why i was looking at 225 wide tires. so would i need rear wheel spacers? any other wheel/tire recomendations?

I run 17x7 at 35 offset and 215/40/17 tires, with 25mm spacers in the rear and they are flush.

I've got 16x7, 35 (I think) offset and 225/45R16's, they're nearly flush in the front but have quite the gap in the rear so a spacer is needed. This is on a GT-S but that should be the same as the Alltrac.

Why do so many vehicles run 205's? That always seemed so skinny to me, seeing as my GT-S came with 225's.

For some reason on tirerack.com if you go with 16'' wheels you need 205 with tires???

I forgot to ask, did you have any problems with the length of the rear lugnut studs with the 25mm spacers?

Spacers have their own lug nuts.

Those are the cheapies. Good ones (H&R) are over $100.

Oh and forgot to mention, I think with anything more than about a 1.5" drop (in the rear) you would need to roll the rear fenders with my setup. I don't have any rubbing but if you put a big guy in the back seat they can rub on big bumps or taking corners too fast.

That happens only if you lower the rear?
