View Full Version : custom single din gauge setup

so i wanted to mount my gauges above my stereo, but i could not find any info on how to do it so here is how i went about it.

i bought one oh these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/52mm-TRIPLE-SINGLE-DIN-RADIO-GAUGE-DASH-PANEL-POD-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem43a6dd60b0QQitemZ29056 2334896QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccesso ries
then i bought a stereo install kit from O'Reilly auto parts
i had a stereo install sleeve laying around so i drilled small holes through the sleeve and into the tabs in the gauge plate. i installed 2 screws into each side and mounted the setup into the space above the stereo.

i still need to work on finishing it off, the last owner cut the dash piece so it looks a little rough.

I did this on my ST205. I used 45mm gauges and got a DIN blanking plate (an OEM Nissan part no. 68470-60M00 "mask radio")

the 270 psi is max pressure for the gauge i believe the gauge only goes up to 30psi :)
ya i need to find a new dash piece.
ya i saw your set up d, looks good.
i might just fill mine in around the edges

I think that says 270* PSI, the exhaust gas temp. one next to it says 270* *F, so if I'm reading it right I think that means the needle goes 270* across the faceplate. Sorry to take the fun out of the thread, lol.

Chris, did Alpine make a face plate for RHD? Looks like another typical aftermarket radio angled and setup for LHD...

I'll bet the blow off valve sound like a cannon between shifts!

With that kind of boost you might as well add some wings, screw rush hour traffic.

wings that flip out from the side are in the works and yes i need ear plugs for the blow off valve lol

There's no angle to it per se. Standard North American face plate. The 6th gen centre area angles towards the driver so it is easily seen and used.
