Are there still 503e engines and parts available? Could be a gen 5 number 98 runnin on the road.

I doubt you could ever find one. I think they were racing engines only and few and far between at that. Idk how many were made but I do know that they were used in the late 80's GT an LeMans Supras.

Toysport used to sell them. The engine alone starts at 10 grand. They are not a bolt in affair either. You will likely have to come up with mounts, and if I remember correctly the transmission mounts on the opposite side. On a similar note, top secret used to sell 3sgtes built for 1,000hp starting around 10k as well. This of course does not include fuel, engine management, and turbo.

I would love to drive a 1,000 HP Celica sleeper. The looks on the faces of all the Civic/Integra drivers...oh man would that be priceless.

It would be a huge PITA on anything but a racetrack.
Engines like that aren't happy at part throttle and street driving.
Not to mention the clutch being a PITA.

I meant at the track. I wouldn't try to DD a clutch that made me work that hard.

Honestly with that much money and power in the car, I would likely go with a sequential transmission.
