04-25-2005, 10:42 PM
I updated my interior...i added a few new things including a rear floor bar, redded tailights, REAL carbon fiber mirrors, black interior, replaced rear speakers with 10'ers.....
leave all the comments you want but dont be too harsh..... :slap:

AFTER: so much better....

floor bar:

Before (indiglo)
after: no indiglo

CF gas door, Chubby antenna (instead of the metal whip:)) and CF mirror

new mirrors: little info... real CF, but i fiberglass a base for them, and didnt have the time to paint them so i wrapped them quickly in plastic CF wrap and left a lot of bubbles and lines....but ill paint them later on a nice day....

very nice work.

04-25-2005, 10:55 PM
Good job man. I like the color change on the inside

04-25-2005, 11:09 PM
i like the color now too, it might be a little too dull but it works nicely, all i gotta do still is paint the door panels....its been rainy since that day and didnt have enough time for the panels....

Glad to see your project is coming along. Keep it up!!

Dull or not, the interior is much better looking. I'm not diggin' the mirrors nor the exposed rear speaker(s).

04-26-2005, 03:17 AM
Awesome job, looks much cleaner. Only thing I'm not feelin is the mirrors, but if you like em thats all that matters! Keep us updated with any other plans you got with this beast!

OH i love that CF gas tank flap.. that must take off like.. atleast 500lb's of dead weight and those mirrors too.. damn!

No.. but on a seriously note I do admire the interior plastic painting.

04-28-2005, 03:38 AM
thanks...for being a dick...haha no i really like the way it looks, kuz i dont see anyone else with those mods on 5th gens....

04-28-2005, 06:02 AM
what do you think of the floor bar?

I like the color change and antenna choice!

do you still have your old mirrors? I may want to purchase them from you for a project.

04-28-2005, 02:01 PM
sure ill sell my old mirrors...i need money badly, and yes i like the floor bar, it makes it easier to do sharp turns and faster, it stiffens up good

04-28-2005, 05:29 PM
Where did you get the floor bar?

04-28-2005, 09:44 PM
i got it off ebay...i think its a universal item...but it works

04-29-2005, 06:10 AM
Like many others, not a big fan of the mirrors. They look well-done, just not my style. But the interior...Wow...It looks so much better without all that red. Great job on that, the antenna's pretty good too. Just wondering... Did you take all the panels off and repaint them? Or did you buy bits and pieces and replace them with the gray ones?

05-08-2005, 09:27 AM
thank you for changing the interior back to normal...it looked so awkward with the blue steering wheel

nice clean car overall

05-08-2005, 08:56 PM
i painted all the peices, dan93st

05-08-2005, 09:00 PM
i couldnt stant the boring colors of black, so i spiffed it up a little with some silver...

05-09-2005, 01:57 AM
the silver doesnt look bad, the only thing i dont like is the silver on the steering wheel.

05-09-2005, 02:35 AM
well thats what i liked the most about it...everyone to their own opinion, i guess

05-09-2005, 06:28 AM
i would tape off the letters on the wheel and paint the square part black and just have the CELICA be silver

05-09-2005, 01:42 PM
thats alot of work and wont turn out right if i do it...

05-09-2005, 03:07 PM
Wow, I really love how your silver interior looks! In fact, I was planning to paint my interior silver as well, but I'm too afraid to screw things up...

05-09-2005, 09:26 PM
well thats what i liked the most about it...everyone to their own opinion, i guess

it still looks 10 times better than stock

05-15-2005, 11:57 PM

Looks sooooo much better stock, awsome job... Silver looks pretty good to, however not on the wheel. I like the mirrors too. great job

05-16-2005, 01:28 AM
damn dude, i'm impressed! that silver looks hot as hell. :)

05-16-2005, 02:18 AM
what did u use to paint the interior? or was it dye?

05-17-2005, 12:17 AM
does your floor bar actually work well, like can you notice the difference?
Is it overly heavy?
Ive seen em on ebay (only in blue) how much did you ned up paying?

05-17-2005, 02:48 AM
i paid like 55$ shipped, yes i can tell the difference when cornering....it only ways like 5 pounds...
....as for my carbon fiber mirrors, i was parked in a parking lot during school and when i came out after school some jackass broke the mount, so if i want them again i have to fiberglass new bases....urrrgghhhh i think i know who did it too...the bad part is they did it on purpose....
...as to paint my interior, i used a flat black or primer as a first coat then a second coat of what ever paint you want...it holds too...hasnt made any marks since...

05-17-2005, 04:05 AM
Man whether they did it on purpose or not, id tell him to "try and hit me" then he'd prolly respond saying something in the nature of "what" and then id say "i said come down hear and see what happens if you try and hit me?" and then id beat the shit out of him.

honestly though if you know who did it you should either A)kill him B)kill his family or C)wait till he has kids and then kill them.
dont tolerate that stuff

05-17-2005, 10:10 PM
thats why i waited to get my cf hood after i graduated

05-17-2005, 10:45 PM
wow sounds like ill wait until after i graduate now...too....before i get too into exterior mods....

05-18-2005, 04:04 PM
yeah, there are some anti-rice extremists that consider any japenese car rice no matter whats been done to it...

05-18-2005, 10:22 PM
i noticed

06-16-2005, 03:03 AM
im assuming you took all the pieces out when painting? how big of a pita was that?

06-16-2005, 03:06 AM
its actually quite easy, ive done it twice now....dont worry once youve done it once its easy...

06-17-2005, 03:46 AM
:stupid: definately lol. especially when you bolt the new deck in on the sides of the cage, get it all back together, and realize you forgot to run a remote wire...... :owned:

06-17-2005, 04:09 AM
wow, yea i would definately make sure that you have everything plugged back and that you dont miss any screws...

06-17-2005, 07:51 AM
Dude, I wouldnt say that its quite easy taking apart the entire interior. Its actually frustrating at first because of all those stupid hidden clips. Not to mention that it is hard to take the entire interior apart without losing or breaking something. After you take stuff apart so much, the pieces just dont fit back together like you think it would. I dont know, but thats just my experience on it. And if you dont have an automatic climate control, its even more difficult. So basically, its not that easy taking apart your interior

06-17-2005, 12:20 PM
well, my first time i did it slowly, and it worked for me just fine, i paid attentiont to clips and such, and most were already missing oddly enough...(previous owner?) so that made it easier....the only problem i had was fitting which screw in whch hole thing, i have a automatic climate cotnrol i guess kuz mine is just plug-in...so yeha mine was pretty easy, the second time around, it only took me 30 min's to get everything out...except the dash...

06-18-2005, 09:12 AM
hey, just wondering how did u mount the floor bar??

06-28-2005, 03:55 AM

06-28-2005, 05:58 AM

oh sorry, just adding another stupid comment.

06-30-2005, 04:28 PM
whats fricken rice? ...dont fucking comment if you dont like it...

06-30-2005, 05:12 PM
It's was okay until you riced out the interrior of the car. What the fuck is up with people and their obsession with color cordinating their interrior?

06-30-2005, 05:17 PM
wait what are you talking about...my interior is black, it was once red and white....

06-30-2005, 05:20 PM
god people are dumb, they come in here dont read the post and comment on something in which they have no clue
