my apologies. anyways i got my st205 engine, tranny, ecu, everything that i will be swapping into my 88 celica all trac turbo. the car is in fair condition, i picked it up for 1000 but sold the motor out of it which i came out with a 400 all trac shell pretty much. i bought the car in july 2010 anticipating to just rebuild the 1st gen then keep her stock, well after not working for a few months then only coming up with a part time job the project became more and more distant, however, after selling one of my cars and finally getting some paychecks under my belt, i came up with a motor tranny and actually a MINES ecu for 1800 out of a 1998 gt-4 from a buddies shop that came out of a front clip he had. way more badass right? i do believe it was a great deal cause i got to take all electrical stuff like the map sensor, injector resistor, etc off it as well.. where this project is now is: the motor is on a stand, separate from the tranny and we are in the process of replacing tons of things such as the front and rear main, cam seals, timing belt, taking off the oil pan cleaning it and re sealing it, new water pump w/gasket, new engine cooler seals, oil pump seals, front main housing seal, new turbo elbow and turbo to manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, intake manifold gasket, thermostat with gasket, valve cover gasket, new spark plugs, new walbro 255lph fuel pump, and some goodies like an hks ssqv bov, turbo timer, boost gauge. we hope to have everything we need replaced in the following two weekends. then dropping it in asap :) i will put up picture here soon, stay tuned!

i guess i'll find out when i do the swap.. here's some progress for today on a lazy sunday: got the new water pump in with gasket, thermostat with gasket, oil pump seal/gasket and pump back on. got the front main seal on, cam seals replaced, and the front main housing gasket along with the assembly back on, after that was all done we put the timing belt on then called it a day. gotta like the purple bling ;)

well another successful sunday on the motor. today we started by putting the whole oil pan together (resealing the whole pan with RTV red stuff) after cleaning it and getting all the previous gunk off of there. after wards we put the engine cooler back together with new gaskets and the whole front side of the exhaust side back together, manifold, elbow, and cat. Also replacing the exhaust manifold gasket, turbo to manifold gasket (square one) and the elbow to manifold gasket. after that it was on to the timing belt/cam gear covers. got new valve cover gasket put on along with the valve cover itself and also the new spark plugs and plug wires/dizzy cap, new intake manifold gasket along with the manifold all hooked up and wiring harness bolted in and every hose/connector hooked up as much as we could. think there might have been a few other things i did such as alternator/starter but we got it from the block to everything back on. this upcoming wednesday we plan on hooking up the tranny to the motor (obviously replacing the clutch too) then ordering up some new front axles and hopefully dropping it in the following weekend due to we're busy this weekend. anyways sorry bout blabbing on so here's some pics!

Oil pans on and exhaust side on with heat shields:

cam covers all put on and everything underneath is hooked up as seen in previous pics:

Valve cover gasket replaced/cleaned up/ plugs/wires all hooked up:

front side of the intake manifold back on:

backside of the intake manifold/replaced gasket/wiring harness on and semi hooked up:

update. as of today the motor is IN THE CAR. clutch is replaced! i'm very excited with the progress. with a combination on mounts an bolts we only have 3 motor mounts on. i forgot to take the passanger side motor mount bracket off the 1st gen to use it for the motor mount :/ so now i need to find of those... anyways we also replaced the rack and pinion boots before we dropped it, as well at the fuel filter, ran the harness through the firewall, hooked up about 90% of the whole harness (still figuring out where the rest goes. I'm sorry i have no pics ill try to get a camera soon! anyways i plan on doing more work like the fuel pump, maybe the rest of the harness, few other things. stay tuned.

please excuse the crummy photos they are from my phone as my camera is broken :/

this should be in the alltrac/gt-four forum

hit me up when u need a real turbo. that ct26 is better since its the third gen("ct20b") but its still stock and it will eventually fail like the rest. otherwise nice work on the swap!

Well if a moderator could move it there that would be cool I don't want to get in trouble for a double post lol. But I'm sure this turbo will be fine for the time being untill I decide to start doing my build. It will stay stock for a while.

4th gen is fine, project threads would be better.

Tim? I don't have time to get on the browser. You mind?
