Circuit Grand Bayou in Belle Rose, LA. It was a 4 1/2 hour drive to the track and it was very fun. I couldnt do more than 5 or 6 laps at a time because my tires were overheating. Im sure my oil didnt like the high revs that long either. My best time was 1:28. My friend Dan got a 1:26 in his Z06. I used his camera for my lap. I will be going to another track day when time allows.

we have some, this was much cheaper than a speeding ticket for 100+...which is what i was doing in the straight. It cost me a grand total of $250 for gas, track day, food and hotel with no points on my license afterwards.

Must of been a blast. Tell your friend to get some foam to put on the mic. It will cut down a lot of the wind noise.

I've been wanting to do this but haven't found a road course around here. Gonna keep looking.

Big thing is you can't drive on a road the way you can on a track and not endanger yourself and (more importantly) innocent bystanders. A good track should have lots of run off area and everyone there is aware of the risks of being there, not mom taking her kids for a hike in the woods or something.

At some point I want to spend my $15 and go out to El Mirage Lake to do whatever the hell I want on a flat surface. Looks and sounds like a blast!
