Posting my project thread for my 165. Not alot has been done since I acquired her, but she may get more attention this summer.

So, I now have a 165 again (01-04-2009). This one is in significantly different shape then my first one from years ago. I received this for the price of towing and 60 extra bucks.

The Good:
Racing seats
Minimal body work needed
tC Wheels
ACT Clutch with minimal miles
Saved from being sent to a salvage yard
...... and maybe more

The Bad:
Only has the short block left of the engine
At least one of the pistons appear to have bad rings
The crank may be questionable
Need to replace the rear interior
Needs fuel sending unit as well as some other thing
and so on, and so on...............

Here are the pics of when I received her.

The only noticeable body damage besides the hood.

As of today (03-11-2011) I currently have acquired a mangled 3sgte from an MR2. With that I got an exhaust manifold, intake, etc. Just stock parts.
I has also pulled a harness from a 165 at pick n pull a few months ago as well as some body trim pieces.

Tomorrow I hope to also get a 3SGE intake manifold since I may know where to source one. I will have the current pics tomorrow as well as the other goodies and the current shape of the motor.

The end goal is a reliable car for winter fun and DD duties during the winter.

Yea. I view her as a way to redeem myself for getting a nice trac and having to sell it cause I didn't listen to the warning of don't buy a high maintenance car when your a poor college student lol.

So, here are some of the current odds and ends I have collected. Still learning about the details of motor related work, so this motor will be my test bed. The head seems fine.........as far as I can tell. Pistons also don't look like any chunks are missing. Need to get an engine stand to take the pan off and investigate.

Thanks. It will be fun to some degree. Just glad I have one and hope to build it like I want it.
