212 @ .050

That means the valve will be open more than .050", for 212 degrees of a 360 degree crankshaft rotation.

I was laying in bed thinking about my engine, and I coulnt sleep till I figured this out. This is what my brain has deducted after much thought. Im right.... right?

Its the lift and duration of the cam. i believe the .050 is the lift. and 212 the duration.

I think i would be closed 212 degrees though, as being open that long doesnt seem right in my head.

Oops, wasnt paying enough attention there, remember how fast the cam spins vs. the crank.

The cam does double revs vs crank right?

^Crank spins twice for a camshafts once.

CollapsedNut, you are correct in what those numbers mean.
