Just wondering has anyone dismantled a rear ABS hub? Not sure how the toothed wheel comes off. I know its easier just to buy the complete hub assembly but it's expencive and 2nds are hard to come by round here. Any ideas?

AFAIK they're not supposed to come off.
Do you already have the replacement ring?

Yeah, I'm sure they are not suppose too, but they had to get them on somehow. Not sure it they are pressed, or threaded, or somehow held on by the large nut underneath??

No, I'm not replacing the ring, I'm replacing the bearing and need to press out the hub without destroying the ring. I went and bought the bearing / bearing housing assembly assuming that the hub presses in and out easily once the ring comes off.

Ok, don't worry everyone ;) After some searching on the net I found out the abs sensor wheel is pressed in. So by bolting the hub to something stable and using a 27mm spanner you can turn the big nut which will press the wheel off the stub shaft. After this you just press the old bearing off and new bearing on as per the non abs hub. Enjoy.....
