IF you don't know what a sleeper is (when referring to cars), it's a car that has alot of performance modifications, but not many cosmetic modifictaions. Basically, it's a fast car that most people will think is just a normal, stock car.

I love having one because it's so easy to take those Civics by surprise lol. The only thing that might give me away is the rims or exhaust. That is unless I come across somebody who knows about Celicas, then they might think it's an alltrac. I've had two people I don't know ask me if it's an alltrac because of the hood. (Pic on my profile.)

This is coming from an ex-ricer, I used to drive a riced out Ford Probe GT. Cold air intake, exhaust, rims, and spoiler. The ultimate ricer recipe. Although the engine in it was a swapped Mazda 626. There is a video of that car on my youtube channel. (Link in my signature)

BUT ANYWAYS, would you rather be a sleeper, or have everybody else know that you are fast by looking at you?

I prefer to make my car clean with stockish looking exterior mods. Like the Aeroform body kits for the 165's.

I have a stock JDM GT-Four (3S-GTE) but it can beat civics :D
I have a non-sleeper '87 Supra (7M-GTE 358hp) that can smoke V8's
I have a '92 Cressida (on my property but not mine) with a Supra engine (7M-GE) and Supra tranny in it. It's totally sleeper.
We were thinking of taking the 7M-GTE out of my Supra and putting it in the Cressida.

I thought the Cressida came with a 7m.

Or was it a 5m?

It was a 7M in '92. They stopped using the 5M in the mid-late 80's as I recall.

The Cressida in my driveway did actually come with a 5M. Phil did the converstion to the 7M and tranny. It was my idea to drop the 7M-GTE in it for shitz n gigglz.

Its for sale .... Silver RWD really good shape. Drives like a dream :D
i think Phil is looking for $3500 OBO for it. Super drifting car with the way its setup now. Leather interior 5 speed, E Rust Control and K&N hi-flow filter. A Bunch of other stuff done to it as well. I think his unser name here is Supradrenaline if you are interested, but it is here in Canada about 2 hours from the Buffalo border.

i prefer not looking like a sleeper. keeps all the idiots away.

edit: if it was legal i'd put the NOS bottle on the roof and plumb it down the windshield and drive with no hood so morons wouldn't f* with me. but then i live in mustang and civic ville.

if your Cressy is a 92 it came factory with the 7M, not the 5M. If when you got it it had a 5M then someone (retarded) retro-swapped it. The changeover occured late 88 for 89 model year. This was a little behind the change of the supra which dropped the 5M with the half model year 86.5 chassis change, becoming a bigger GT car. The cressida shares alot of the same mechanicals with their respective model year supras. They are hardly a sleeper anymore though to anyone that knows anything about toyotas.

I kinda wish my 7th gen wasnt the trd kit since its turbo'd now but then i don't cause i love the way it looks, but i still have the stock muffler so its quiet until the turbo spools haha

It seems to be a hit or miss with people, but I love the looks of the TRD kit, but I only seem to see them on GT's, (and unless boosted) seems kind of ricey too me.

Most of the 7th gen i have seen boosted are GT not GTS

Yeah, due to the lower compression, but I'm talking about the TRD body kit in general. I only really see them on GTs.
