So my headlights are not very bright and it's even kinda difficult to see anything at night.

I really want to replace them with some bright white HIDs. Are there and of those that are just plug-and-play? I am not good with electronics and would rather not have to figure out where a whole bunch of wires go and whatnot

Car is a 93 Celica GT

Will that one work?

Or this one?

HIDs are extremely easy to hook up.

They wire to the socket for the stock headlamps. 3 wires and you're done.

Low Beams
High Beams.

There is a thread "Tomorrows project..." which shows what you need.

I saw that thread, but is there any soldering(sp?) or sautering(sp?) that has to be done?

The first one you linked comes with a harness for plug and play. The two black wires on the right in the picture, one end goes in where your head light currently plugs in, and the other goes to the HID ballast box.

Looks easy to me :)

most are plug and play.. id stay away from ebay kits.. co worker has been having issues with them.. DDM tuning is the way to go.. mine have been working great for over a year

I have had an Ebay kit in my Evo for 4 years now with zero problems. 55W balast 4300K lamps. Think I spent a total of $97 shipped.

They are so cheap these days, even if they do crap out, look at them as disposable.

This is where I step in with my lame PSA that everyone frowns on. It's one of the reasons cheap eBay kits are cheap eBay kits. It doesn't matter whether you're looking at ballasts or housings.

Please look for housings DESIGNED for HIDs. HIDs are very different incandescent or halogen light sources. Focal points and reflectors are designed differently. Putting an HID into a halogen housing INCREASES glare tremendously. Just like placing a halogen light inside an HID housing is pointless. Please, get an HID housing, not just an H4 housing.

Ah, good, I'm not the only one who likes to rant about mis-matching parts.

Just because you can make them fit together doesn't mean they're meant to go together, or that they work properly. This is true whether you're talking about mechanical parts or lighting parts.
