If anyone with a 7AFE can take pictures for reference, I'd greatly appreciate it.

This wire is either a gray shielded wire, or two wires in a gray casing. It runs out of the harness. Any idea what it goes to?

I have no idea how that is supposed to look.

Or where these two hoses hook up.

http://km.celicatech.com/images/6gc/100_0064.JPG
Or what these two connectors go to.

Is there supposed to be a cable hold bracket?

This is a ground wire. There is also another on the other side of the oil dipstick. I can't figure out where this one goes.

I'll see if I can get anything for you at some point tomorrow. It'll have to be via phone bc my camera is at Justin's... Just let me know if you want me to send them via the site or phone. my cell numbers on my profile. no promises I can get exactly what you want tho. :)

KM- I'm sending some pics of the engine for you, Idk how much they will help, but its all I could get right now...

ill look at my car when its light out today

but i have a 5 speed, those 2 hoses i think go to the ps pump but im not sure.

your best bet based off me looking at these and your project pics is just to pick up a new harness(s)

if i get out to the bone yard today ill see if that auto st is still out there

oh and the grounds if worse comes to worse go to an audio store and get some wire and ends to make them, ive used as thin as 8 guage and thick as 4 gauge

There are absolutely no 6th gens in the yards around here, atleast not in the Pull-a-parts. I haven't checked the more local yards, but they don't have computer inventories.
A new harness might be nice, but I don't see any other sections that are damaged.

Ok,

If I had to guess, the top, single grey wire is for the O2 sensor or an oil pressure sensor. That is purely a guess.

The hoses in the back are vacuum hoses coming from your BVSV. They connect into the vacuum system at a regulator and the EGR. Wish I had a pic to show you, but they travel in the bigger sleeve to protect them as they pass around the intake and around the coolant inlet on the block.

If that ground comes off the frame near the shock tower, it will ground to the block typically where the chain hook for pulling the engine is at. Use grease. I usually tandem a bigger wire to help grounding when the old looks like shit. The other will ground to the frame and the transmission. Any bolt on the tranny housing will do fine.

Is this an automatic? Are the extra plugs for the transmission? Does the engine have knock sensors under the inake manifold?

the 2 big hoses go to the back side of the intale manifold, not a bsv or ps pump

I can't figure these fans out. When I connect the battery, they come on and do not go off unless I either disconnect the battery or pull the relays.

I removed the Prolock starter disable box and its wiring, and can now start the car with the key instead of a push button. I cannot, however, pull the key out of the ignition afterward.

I also believe I have a grounding issue somewhere. I was testing the alternator by disconnecting the battery ground with the engine running. It stays running, but if I add a load (say, plug back in a fan relay or turn on the high beams), the engine stalls.

I removed the instrument panel to make sure the bulbs/harnesses were all good, and cleaned the speed sensor... doing that made my tachometer work. Not sure about the speedometer since I can't drive it yet.

There's a safety that keeps the fan on when the coolant temp switch is busted. On the 5s and the 3s, there are 2 sensors on the coolant neck, one for the temp gauge and the other for the ECU/fans. The one on the alltrac is broken so the fans are constant on when the key is in the ignition.

As for the stalling issue, I would double check your grounds to make sure that none of them are broken. I replaced all mine with 8ga ground wire. I also added an extra from the battery to the body. Without the ground connecting the engine to the strut tower (what you had in the pic) my car wouldn't even start...

his best bet is to get a good harness outta a yard and redo the grounds

There aren't any 6th gens in any local yards, and I don't have money.

I'ma be honest, I'm posting all my important stuff over at 6gc, 'cause there are more people to answer. I feel like a traitor. haha

Engine is running and idling smoothly, doesn't cut out under load.
Got a bumper being shipped from Cali for $100, and a cable bracket shipped for free.

Bought a axle boot clamp yesterday so I won't lose all this fancy grease.

Really, the only thing left to figure out is the fans, and to get a bolt through the rear trans mount.
