View Full Version : my wife getting tags for my jdm

so my wife went to go get tags for my celica yesterday, as she was called up to the desk the guy asked her if the car was german spec or american spec, so when she said it was neither it was jdm, he gave her a weird look, he then told her it would be hard for him to drive drive on the right side, as the conversation went on, the guy working next to him and a couple other people in line got in on the conversation about driving on the right side, well dressed older woman that was in line was getting mad at how long it was taking and said in a disgruntled tone, "whats the big deal we all drive on the right side"

I don't get what is so funny about it. Someone who obviously wasn't a part of the initial conversation confused the right-hand side seating with right-hand side driving, right? Also, Car_Barn_Bandit, what do Americans have to do with it?

it twas an american woman on post and she was right behind my wife in line and she heard the whole conversation, there are 6 stations right beside each other it takes about 15 to 20 minutes just to register a car, it takes even longer if your selling a car because both buyer and seller have to be there, its alot of paper work that has to be done and they have to check to see if you have german insurance and what not, she was being impatient, and thought she would say something smart, so it really didnt matter what they were talking about, it would not have mattered if the conversation didnt happen it still would have taken just as long, what did americans have to do with it, well americans come off as being impatient i know i am at times, like when i need to be somewhere or want to buy something, germans are more laid back as in that really dont rush to get things done, she probably got driving on the right side of the car confused with driving on the right side of the road. besides everyone should know how long the wait is at the dmv
