I swear, the BGB covers the replacement of every bulb in the car except this one.

The bulb illuminating the gear position for my auto transmission -- the one in the console -- has gone out. I poked around in the area a couple of years ago when installing my sound insulation, but never figured out how to get at the bulb.

So, two questions if anyone happens to know:
a) bulb type/number (hoping it's not another overpriced Toyota special)
b) how the devil to get to it

IIRC [haven't owned an auto celica in YEARS] it's the same type as what's in the gauge cluster.
Remove the trim around the shifter and dig down in there.
Find the wiring running to the shifter [drivers side?], follow it to the bulb [probably also wires for the OD switch, ignore those]. It will twist out of it's hole. A pair of angled needle nose might help.
