I'm willing to bet you'd need spacers to get them flush. That's probably the easiest way to go, get the wheels, get the tires and then measure for the additional width you'd need to get them flush.

If you have a wide body car, you will need spacers in the rear, front will be fine. If you have a narrow body car, you will need to change the front fenders to wide body ones, and the rear won't need a spacer.

METDeath,

Are you saying that on a wide body 5th gen you would need spacers in the rear if running a 35mm offset? So if that were the case, simply changing the rear offset to a 20mm would resolve the need for needing a spacer. Am I correct on this?

What is your current rim situation so I can better understand what you mean by you being in the same boat and needing spacers.
