ok i have some wheels that are aluminum and ive seen the same wheels sand blasted before, dull finish thats slightly rough to the touch, but when painted looks great

my friend said if i go get the glass bead media that he will blast my wheels

can anyone give me an idea of what the finish will be like after bead blasting or can anyone provide photos of a sand blasted item and a bead blasted item

thanks alot

Aluminum Oxide blasted (just like sand but a bit more aggressive and longer lasting):

Do not sandblast or aluminum oxide blast alloy wheels, you will pit the hell out of them. You need to go with glass bead blasting (idea for aluminum work), it doesn't change the dimensional properties of the part (doesn't remove any materal) while it cleans it. I have done a lot of media blasting so if you have any particular questions feel free to shoot me a PM.
