I got a set of wheels off craigslist.

They are SLIGHTLY larger than i imagined they would be.

Whats the smallest tire i can mount on a 15 inch by 10 inch wide with -46mm offset wheel.

Im kinda thinking they arent gonna fit my truck, but im gonna try.

Aaron, I'm thinking you're going to need at least something in a 255. 10 inches is like 254 mm, so this would be just about as wide. If you go smaller than this, the tread is going to be narrower than the width of the wheel and side walls are going to pull inward toward the tread. I know some of the rice drifters like this look but it's not safe. You're going to need a wide tire for that wheel.

That's not wat I wanted to hear. I was really hoping a 235 65 15 would fit. I can get that tire for 65 each.

You might check with a reputable tire store to make sure but I'm pretty sure the side wall is going to angle in from the rim to the tread. A lot of place probably won't mount them. The tread on the 235 is going to be about 9.25". That 3/4" could make some difference. But check with a good tire store. I could be mistaken and telling you wrong.

the guys i work with are agreeing with you mike. they say im gonna have to run a 32x10.5x15. which means expensive offroad tires. which would rub on my truck without a body lift. my engine would have trouble moving them without changing to a 4.56 rear end gear. its gonna be more trouble than its worth so i will just see about reselling them.

That'd be the best bet if you can't afford the tires.

I can afford the tires, just not the rest of the mods required for the truck to use the tires efficently

I think a 235 60 would fit. You'll look like a drifter though.
