Hey guys, I want to change out my drums in the back to disc, i know i need to change the parking brake cable. I am wounding if it is possible to use rotors from a 94 supra. If i can do it with the back, can i use them also for the front so i can redo both of them?

Not to get into any detail here, but Toyotas that have rear disc brakes have rotors that include a small diameter drum to handle the emergency brakes. The front rotor do not have this small drum emergency brake feature, for obvious reasons. So there is not way to use the same rotors on the front and the back. Plus, the braking surface on the back is smaller than on the front. If it was the same, your rear brakes would lock up on you as you braked (you have far less braking force on the back), and you don't want the rear end locked up and swinging around on you during a moderate to hard braking period.

No no, sorry i guess i did not word this right. I have a full set of 94 mk2 supra rotors. I want to redo my brakes on my celica. I know that the hub on the celica is 5 by 100 but i am not sure about the supra rotors. I have heard of people doing it on the camery and corola.

You can make the comparisons yourself by looking at O'Reilly Auto Parts web site, and comparing the brake rotor dimensions for both vehicles.

The front brake rotors are significantly different. Using your 90 Celica first, followed by the 94 Supra, the front rotors have the following: Overall height: 1.82"/2.00"; Overall diameter: 10.04"/11.65"; Bolt Circle Diameter: 100mm/4.50"; Center Hole Diameter: 2.13"/2.44"; Nominal Thickness: 0.87"/1.26"; Discard Thickness: 0.79"/1.18". Pretty significant differences.

Doing the same for the rear, using what a 90 GT-S would have for rotors in the back, would be the following (90 Celica/94 Supra): Overall Height: 2.53"/2.65"; Overall Diameter: 10.60"/12.08"; Bolt Circle Diameter: 100mm/4.50"; Center Hole Diameter: 2.13"/2.45"; Nominal Thickness: 0.39"/0.63"; Discard Thickness: 0.35"/0.59"; Type: Solid/Vented

So, up to you, but I don't see much of a match here.

Drum to disk conversion, yes. Celica to Supra conversion... that'd take some fabrication work to say the least.

Alright, Thank you 93celicaconv. I also just found out that the calipers for the supra rotors are about $600 a pair. I think this will no longer be an option for me lol.

Those Supra calipers won't bolt onto anything you have for your wheel knuckle on your 90 GT either. There would need to be a lot of customizing.
