Hi all

Very grateful for the tech advice from browsing the forum recently.

I'm James, 35 and a windsurfing instructor in Grand Cayman, BWI.

It's hard keeping an old car on the road here - not many parts people in the US want to ship overseas, but nevertheless I'm in the process of putting my 4AFE engined 1990 Celica 1600 ST back on the road. It's entirely standard but has needed 3 new engine mounts and a new exhaust flex pipe to become road safe!

I also own a stock, 5SFE engined 1993 Celica 2.2 GT convertible (the 90 model was going to be a spares car but it's too good!) which is in excellent condition apart from needing a new radiator (fitted), and new head gasket and clutch ...still to buy and fit when I'm feeling brave!

Looking forward to getting really stuck into these cars, they're the first 'modern' cars I've worked on since building Triumph Spitfires and GT6's as a teenager!

Welcome! I bet it is a challenge running down parts there.

You'll find a lot of good info and help here. Post up some pics when you can.

Woohoo! My 1990 Celica ST passed it's vehicle inspection yesterday - on the road again!
