How do you wax or wash the exterior carbon fiber parts? Is it the same way as the other parts? Are there different products you need to use?

Exterior carbon fiber is clearcoated, and is treated the same way as normal body panels.

The amount of work depends on the condition.

When I do a full hood detail, I take off all of the inserts in my Alltrac hood.
Wash it normally to get rid of surface dirt. Use a soft cloth and a lot of soap. Dry with a chamois so there are no hard water stains.
Then use claybar or Meguiar's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner to get rid of embedded dirt.
Then use 3M Imperial Hand Glaze to give it a bright gloss.
Then use Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax.

It's best to use microfiber cloths for each process. Don't use any abrasive cloth, or you'll do more harm than good.

And take care to keep the paint chemicals off the rubber edging of the pieces, to prevent staining or drying them out. Remember to apply a good rubber cleaner/conditioner to the rubber bits -- I actually do it twice, before I clean the clearcoated plastic to help keep the paint chemicals off the rubber, then again after.
