hey all, some of you may know steff (hurley97) or dustin (batman722) from 6gc, they have a 95 gt, that they swapped a beams into, that was in desperate need of body and paint work.

so, we stripped it, cleaned it up, bodyworked it, primed and blocked it, and i took it to work and painted it yesterday.
here are a few pics.

heres what it looked like last week:

this last pic is of the license plate surround, close up with the flash on, it shows the pearl midcoat off really well.

once its back together, we'll cut and buff it to perfection.

Looks great. Can't wait to see the final shots. Did you guys touch up the jambs and engine bay as well?

Looks amazing. Do any of you do bodywork as a job, or you just learned how to do it? I need bodywork done on both my cars and would do all the prep work before paint if I knew how.

vip09: i work at a local maaco.
my buddy mike (who also works at maaco) came over to the house and did most of the bodywork (i basicly just deleted the sidemarkers, and attenna hole, and primed and help block the car, and painted it.)
chris, it really does.
we havent had alot of great weather here the past week, but dustin snapped a few more pics on his day off on tuesday:

Really a beautiful job!

Too bad you're all the way up there in RI - cuz good body and paint shops that take the time for the details are very difficult to find.

Drop-dead gorgeous. Well done 6th gens are still the apex of Celica styling for me. Everyone has their own opinion of course, but the 6th gens just do it for me. :turboboink:
