Picked up a 94 GT with 205k on the odometer a few days ago for $400. Has a nice new accessory hole in the engine block. Owner said it was a misshift but he also told me he hand rebuilt the engine so who knows. Thinking about a 1mz swap since I am looking for a Camry to take a bunch of parts off of, may as well put the engine to good use.

Havent owned a Celica since a year and a half ago when I traded my 93 STX (piece of crap) for a 4 door Sidekick (better piece of crap)

See you guys around :haha:

Was your ST all kitted up?

I think I saw it on CL a time or two.

Eric lives out your way, but I am unsure if he sold his alltrac yet or not. You are not too far from us.

Thanks guys! Yeah I schooled Toy_celi bad enough on TN that he never logged in again, I think he posted for all of a week or two before just disappearing. Kid had some issues...

My ST never had a kit on it but I knew two people around this area that had kitted 5th gens, probably one of them.

As for the engine swap, its looking like it will be a 3vz swap, Im buying a parts Camry in the next few days to do some repais to my Camry and it has a running 3vz, might as well!

3vz-fe will work fine and its really good for boost but its really heavy

Its actually not too bad, both engines stripped down to the longblock I think its like 70 lbs heavier, not really all that bad. I got the donor car for $400 compared to buying one off of copart for like 1000, I think it will turn out to be a fun project in the end.

No plans for boost as of yet, step 1 is always get the engine in and driving before boost in my opinion. Ive seen too many projects plan for boost before the thing is running and it turns into one of those multi year projects that just never manages to finish.
