My name is Patrick, I live in Woodard Oklahoma. I drive a white 1999 Celica GT with the 5SFE motor. I'm 16 years old, this is my first car. I only have two mods but am looking into turbocharging. The two mods i have are Ebay header and intake.

This forum is very useful, and i wish to stay for a while.

I will take some later. I got pulled over for the first time, just about 15 minutes ago. Tag light was out. Received a warning.

Unfortunately the fact that you have an import already makes you a prejudicial target for the po-po. So do your best to drive within the law.

As for the swap, it is very common and there is a lot of support on here. I would not recommend undertaking it however, unless you have a access to a wide variety of tools and some guidance from someone like a father or someone else who can consistently aid you when you have questions. This board can help you with pretty much all of them tho.

Yeah, i read posts for a couple days before even posting this. The Headers i found are the ones identical to the one on the review. That's how i found it :)

Nice, What part of Oklahoma?

My next mod will be to get a 2.5" piping all the way back and a magnaflow muffler.
All of my exhaust is stock besides a resonator and a header.
I talked to the muffler shop today and he is really busy, my first priority is my timing belt though. It has been slapping the timing belt cover. Not good!

You got a ticket for a license plate light out? By god what are the cops like down there?
I used to drive the Supra around with illegal day runners and one headlight and they didn't bother with me at all. You could hear me coming from a block away (muffler and BOV) and they still didn't stop me. Down there they stop you for a measly bulb burnt out???
Oh yeah, welcome to the forum :)

On the other hand, I took pics and a video today!

3 of the times I have been pulled over since I was 17, I was asked if it was alright if the officer could search my car for drugs. Any excuse to get a kid in an import pulled over with suspicion to make a search legal has been my perception of how COPS roll.

3/3 times they've been disappointed and I left with a warning for something asinine.

Anywho, WELCOME!

Welcome, clean car

BTW You'll accelerate faster by shifting at the redline from 1st to 2nd. While the power is dropping off it will still accelerate faster due to the shorter gear ratio in 1st compared to it being in the powerband in 2nd. Someone on here calculated all the optimal shift points for a 5sfe but I can't remember who it was. Pretty much 1>2 was redline, I think 2>3 was 6000 rpm, and 3>4 was 5900 or 5800. I know 1>2 was redline for sure, the other shift points I'm just going off my memory.
