Toyota's Head Driver dies test driving the LFA Nur-ring Edition. Sad sad for Toyota. He was in charge of the LFA project and as well as making the MKIV supra, all Celicas, the MR2, AE86, 2000GT, Altezza, etc.......

I would assume pretty fast going by the pics. The cars were all jacked up and ALL of the airbags for the BMW went off. Thought side curtain would only go off with side impact....

From what i understood i think he said the car was going about 90.

Maybe DiG can translate for us.

I was reading about it an Autoweek.com. I couldn't believe some of the bullshit comments. So much Toyota hatred and about "oh, just shows how unsafe Toyotas are". Their comment sections are turning into something like a Honda board.

I hated to hear this. They sent a press release out about it at work today. He was the guy that got Akio Toyota into driving. He was a hell of a development driver and will be missed.

At least he had the rare opportunity to go out doing what he loved.
