I've got a 91 Celica ST and this past summer/fall I swapped a 3SGTE into it. Here are some pics for you guys. Paint is the next thing on the list.

I'm gonna keep the stock 91 bumper cause I like the way it looks :) and I'm gonna repaint it a nice metallic blue with a clear coat, and do some white pin strips down the side again

what's up with the hood?

The hood is lifted with large bolts because of my TMIC and I decided to cut a vent into it to get more air to past by the intercooler, cause it gets mighty warm. Plans to purchase an RC hood later down the line.

Thanks :)

Well my god, it has been four+ years since I have updated my build thread but I have still been around. Between college/graduating, ex-girlfriends, current girlfriend, and puppies a lot has happened! I still have my little beast, my friends enjoy calling it the "Sleeping Dragon" and my girlfriend calls it Smaug since its been quiet for so long (for an Hobbit fans out there, I know I am!), so the car is called the Sleeping Dragon, Smaug. I also see Murg is in the process of swapping a 3S into his ST which is exciting news!!

For a couple years the car looked and cruised around town like this

When I first did the 3SGTE swap into the car I installed a clutchmasters, stage 3 I believe, clutch kit and I began having problems with it after around 15k miles. So I had to pull the engine on my baby.

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/3spull_zps5723695e.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/3spull_zps5723695e.jpg.html)

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/3sgtepulled_zps2784ae53.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/3sgtepulled_zps2784ae53.jpg.html)

After pulling the engine the pressure plate was in pretty good shape, but the clutch was the big problem...

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Clutch3_zps674ad0bc.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Clutch3_zps674ad0bc.jpg.html)
The springs were a huge problem

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Clutch2_zps85055f69.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Clutch2_zps85055f69.jpg.html)
The plates also started to separate from one another at the rivets
http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Clutch1_zpsb5c1ea7e.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Clutch1_zpsb5c1ea7e.jpg.html)

and thats my trans, from a 2001 Solara (since it has the triple syncros)
So I contacted clutchmasters about their product and they told me it was from racing my car...even though I never raced the car and only dropped the clutch a handful of times...but its whatever I'll never own CM clutch again. So Mr. Tim aka 4thgenceli was talking about ACT clutches in his old swap. So I went ahead and bought a 6 puck solid disc clutch kit.

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Solidclutch_zpse980eaef.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Solidclutch_zpse980eaef.jpg.html)

That kit has been by far the best I have owned. I drove it around town while I was in college. After I graduated in 2011 I got a new job 40 miles away and still daily drove the Celica everyday in traffic and I still loved the clutch! I would highly recommend it.

So after a while I wanted to do a FMIC on my baby so I picked up another Celica, which happened to be another 1991 Toyota Celica ST, from Schaumburg Illinios (where I bought my first Celica from ironically).

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/TwoCelicas_zpsc0065dfe.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/TwoCelicas_zpsc0065dfe.jpg.html)

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/TwoCelicas2_zpse8ddea93.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/TwoCelicas2_zpse8ddea93.jpg.html)

So I drove the Red Celica, which I named Phix, daily to and from work and worked on my Swap for a while. I swap some this awesome aluminum piece come up for sale and picked it up. It looks great! much better than the plastic piece I feel.
http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Stockairdirector_zps365e0689.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Stockairdirector_zps365e0689.jpg.html)

But the main reason I took the swap out of commission was to put on the FMIC (which I picked up from ebay), because the TMIC heat soaked in traffic when I drove it to work and had to wait in traffic.

It looks so good with the stock bumper!

But I ended up finding a good deal on this new bumper here and I fell in love!

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/CSFMIC_zps04339f49.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/CSFMIC_zps04339f49.jpg.html)

Looks so great and I got the intercooler piping slowly assembled and routed through the drivers side fender but I decided that if I was going this far I might as well pick up a side feed manifold and swap that in too since I was running the IC piping now.

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/EngineBayBlah_zpsd0da0a82.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/EngineBayBlah_zpsd0da0a82.jpg.html)

The side feed manifold doesn't work as a direct bolt up with the throttle body, so I had to make a little plate for the IAC and idle adjustment. You can cut the passage into the manifold for the IAC and block off the idle screw with JB weld but I wanted to be able to use it so I made a plate.

I also ended up picking up a CT20B instead of my CT26 which I picked up from ChrisD.

Now while I had the car apart I was working on painting it. I started with a rattle can job on the fenders and also picked up some new rims!

While being lazy on the paint I picked up some megan coilovers!

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Megans1_zpsf37d7f80.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Megans1_zpsf37d7f80.jpg.html)

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Megans3_zpscdbf69bc.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Megans3_zpscdbf69bc.jpg.html)

And I also picked up this beauty of a hood which sat on my DD for a while cause I couldn't resist driving around with it lol

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Celicas_zps30b74f3e.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Celicas_zps30b74f3e.jpg.html)

Somewhere around here I got a puppy a little American Eskimo!

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Pup_zpsee0389f2.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Pup_zpsee0389f2.jpg.html)

And then shortly thereafter my roommate also picked up an American Eskimo, my puppy is on the right!

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Puppies_zpsd778884e.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Puppies_zpsd778884e.jpg.html)

But I figured if I was gonna put the work into sanding and everything I may as well do it right, so I picked up some paint guns and my buddy and I painted the car 202 black!

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/Celicapaint2_zpsbd540a56.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/Celicapaint2_zpsbd540a56.jpg.html)

http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag307/Seirved/CelicaPaint1_zps8630a7e7.jpg (http://s1371.photobucket.com/user/Seirved/media/CelicaPaint1_zps8630a7e7.jpg.html)

So after getting her all painted up and looking nice and pretty with the racing seats and harness I went to start her up! Which didnt work so well initially cause I goofed some wiring for the battery in the trunk setup, which I got from 4thgenceli and I believe nitro_alltrac iirc. After getting that straightened she started started but kept dying because of a vacuum leak from my EGR block off plate. So thats where she sits as of now. So once I fix the vacuum leak shes ready to rock, when the snow goes away hahah

And somewhere in between I picked up a Blazer and modified it into zombie apocalypse machine!

Thanks dude! I'm excited to see you're doing a 3S swap into your ST too! They're so much fun when complete!

Edit: Ah I missed the part where the 3S you were gonna put in was toast. I was watching the wrong thread, but sorry to hear about that.
