hello
where would you put the weights inside the wheel when using static balance with a rod and cones, is it all in the center of the rim or spilt 50/50 on the inner and outer side of the rim? its a do it yourself, no machine
thank you

Static balance places all of the weight in the center of the wheel. Dynamic balancing is when weight is placed on the inside and outside planes of the wheel. It's my understanding that dynamic wheel balancing is better because a wheel can be in balance statically, but out of balance dynamically.

Spend $15 and have a tire shop do it.
Then you know your balance is true.

The type of weight used is also determined by the wheel design.
