I have a 1993 Celica ST.

I rear ended someone today and I need some help.

My hood is really bent so I plan on replacing that, and the black plastic that goes between the hood and the bumper shattered so I am looking to replace that as well. The part I'm referring to has an arrow pointing to it in the image below:

I've been looking for this part online and I think it's called the upper grille, but i'm not sure if that's correct. Does anyone have this part available for sale? Finally, does anyone have any tips on installing it?

They are usually called an upper grille and can be found on any 5th gen, check a local pick an pull or salvage yard. The install is very simple all you need is a screw driver I forget if you even have to remove the radiator shroud. You take the 1 screw out of each of the corner lights and then the 3 screws across the top.

I would hit a salvage yard. Probably be able to get everything in one visit, if any yards have them. Its hit or miss here.

Are these the screws that hold on the upper grill?

I think the hood latch has been pushed up, I'm wondering how hard it would be to replace the whole metal panel that the hood latch is attached to.

Yup those screws hold in the corner lights as well as the upper grill, you need to remove those to remove that plastic upper grill from the donor car, then when you lift up the hood it's just 3 philips screws.Just pull it forward after that it's held on by some clips. Looks like the metal part that supports the bumper is pretty bent up, that's the the same part that the upper grill secures to. But that's a bolt in part, so it should be no problem replacing it. Never tried unbolting that panel. I know the radiator support is welded in, but that part might be just bolted in. Don't forget to grab the hood hinges off the donor car those might be a little bent as well.

i got my car with a cracked upper grill..

the previous owner had it re-made with putty and fiber glass and some paint so you wont know its carbon fiber till you turn it over.. anyway..

is it shattered beyond repair? if not, then have it made first then molded and make another from carbon fiber.. =p

i had mine like that now.. =p

remember to get the metal part that the upper grill sits on, they are easy to swap out

I have either a stock white '92 hood in decent shape or a CF ViS CS/RC hood with some damage to the removable bulge section.

If you are interested at all let me know.

I am in Napa, Northern California. Zip = 94558
